Description

Much like Walker Tower, Stella is a residential conversion and historic restoration of a Ralph Walker designed art deco office and telephone equipment building into luxury condominiums.
Built before neighborhood height limits were enacted, Stella rises high above adjacent buildings, showcasing dramatic 360-degree views of Manhattan. To take advantage of this unique view opportunity, many residences will feature private terraces. Located in the iconic New York neighborhood of Hell’s Kitchen, Stella captures the best of a pre-war architectural masterpiece and modern living. Amenities are to include a 24-hour concierge, a resident’s lounge and fitness center.
For this project Pohl Engineering LLC / Rainscreen Solutions LLC received in 2013 contract to engineer steel structure and ornamental louver panels for cooling tower.
